Integrative Hypnosis

Mindfulness of the subconscious.

Hypnosis is a natural, focused state, much like a flow state, where the mind becomes highly receptive to change. In this state, the brain enters rhythms that support neuroplasticity, the innate capacity to rewire thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors.

I think of hypnosis as mindfulness of the subconscious. Rather than pushing for change from the surface, we access the quieter, deeper layers of the mind, the ones that unconsciously shape most of daily experience — and introduce new pathways for reorganization.

Sessions weave personalized suggestion, metaphor, guided imagination, somatic anchoring, and natural language processing to facilitate lasting transformation in both the subconscious mind and the nervous system. All hypnosis work is grounded in neuroplastic change with somatic integration through my SEEED process — Sense, Equalize, Embody, Express, Distribute — so shifts continue to integrate beyond the session.

What my integrative hypnosis can support:

  • Smoking cessation, addictions, cravings, or compulsions

  • Stress, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation

  • Fears and phobias

  • Sleep and rest

  • Parts integration and subpersonality work

  • Unprocessed emotions or memories organized in fight-flight-freeze

  • Pain management where medically appropriate

  • Accessing inner wisdom and clarity for decisions

  • Self-empowerment, confidence, and performance

  • Expanded awareness and states of insight and creativity

Integrative Hypnosis FAQ

  • The brain is always rewiring, even during sleep, it is reconfiguring and forming new connections. Each time you recall a memory, practice a skill, or shift attention, you are participating in this living process of neuroplasticity.

Integrative hypnosis gives you a way to engage this consciously. In a relaxed, focused state, the analytical mind quiets and deeper layers of intelligence become available, allowing old patterns, beliefs, and nervous system responses to reorganize. What once helped you survive but no longer serves your life can begin to shift at the root.

Trance-based healing is far older than modern science, from the temples of Asklepios in ancient Greece to contemplative and spiritual traditions worldwide. Neuroscience is now beginning to affirm what these traditions have always known.

  • Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state, similar to the space between sleeping and waking, or a deep flow state. You remain fully aware and conscious throughout. You are always in control. In integrative hypnosis in particular, you are often participating in your experience.

Sessions are conducted seated upright in a chair, online via Zoom or in-person in NYC. You will need a supported back, both hands and feet resting comfortably, and a genuine willingness to engage the process.

  • Yes. Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of awareness you remain in full control of throughout. It is not mind control; it is a form of subconscious-level, presence-based engagement. You remain fully awake, aware, and seated upright throughout.

  • This is not scripted or one-size-fits-all hypnosis. Every session is customized to your individual nervous system, subconscious organization, and primary sensory processing style.

I combine Ericksonian and directive forms of hypnosis depending on what your system receives best, and work to uncover the deeper root of patterns rather than addressing surface-level symptoms. I weave somatic nervous system work directly into the hypnotic process so that shifts are felt and embodied rather than just cognitive. All sessions are grounded in neuroplastic change through my SEEED process, allowing what emerges in trance to continue integrating through the nervous system long after the session ends.
